March 16-20, 2009: I spent spring break in
Boise,ID/Ontario, OR. Monday was Debra's day (right)as I listened to her speeches she was getting ready to present at the National Debate/Speech Tournament in Shreveport, LA. I thought it was awesome that she could memorize 50 minutes of different speeches ranging from dramatic prose, duo, poetry, informative and also be ready to debate any topic at a moment's notice. She is debating for Boise State University. Gooooooooooo Debra!

Tuesday, Sarah treated Becky(left) and I to a 'beauty day' with pedicures and manicures. I also got a facial. What a treat! Then we ate Brazilian. Why? It was St. Patrick's Day!(LOL)
Rachel (middle)was getting ready to leave for her big trip to India, Nepal, and Germany. It is part of her MBA program she is doing with NNU and her job as an accountant at Washington Group. What a great experience! She and Win and rest of group left early Thursday morning from Boise.
Wednesday morning Becky used her artistic skill to further beautify me by giving me a perm and waxing. Wednesday afternoon I was privileged to hear Matt Reeder (Becky's husband) (upper right) present his findings from a study of how an after school program and nutrition education affected the BMI of elementary students at the Idaho Public Health Association Conference. He did great and sure works with some great faculty mentors. Matt is working on his master's degree in Health Sciences.
Wednesday evening found me in Ontario visiting the Rays. Samantha (top left) was suffering from the flu, but the next day we had a great visit and did some sticker books and a game. Also, I was able to see 6 of the 10 puppies. I will post a picture later. I am looking forward to having her in Twin Falls for a visit at the end of next week. She is five and going to kindergarten.
Thursday evening Becky and I had a 'coupon shopping' day where we used all of our coupons and did powershopping! Tomorrow it is back to Twin Falls and some pre-return-to-teaching preparation work.
